On this territory, tobacco is grown using the method of transplantation. Tobacco is sown in the early spring, in greenhouses. The seedlings grow from very small seeds (about 12 thousand units per gram), which are sown by hand on a well-prepared bed. Then, when they reach 15-20 cm height, they are transplanted by hand into the field.

Tobacco is harvested when it reaches technical maturity. Harvesting is conducted gradually, in accordance with the maturation of leaves, in stages – 5-6 times. The main quantity of harvest (40—45%) is taken from the third level and 25% – from the forth level, consisting of 5-6 leaves each. First, the low-level leaves are harvested. Then, the other levels are removed depending on the maturation degree. Harvesting is made by hand, in the morning, after the dew fall, or in the evening, when the leaves become resilient.

The harvested leaves are sorted and then threaded on cord. The leaves on the cord are dried in special drying (curing) houses, in the shadow.

The tobacco raw material is usually removed from threads early morning and graded. The graded raw material is put into a box called a bin, to ferment.
